Note: Prior to Version 7.5 of Model 204, this command was only available with the Sirius Mods, and the ROCKET forms were not available.

The ROCKET or SIRIUS command is used to determine basic release and authorization for a Model 204 Online, or to create a dump image of the Online. When this command returns a list of authorized products, it is based on the Model 204 environment in which the command is executed.

The SIRIUS command can also be used to control a session with the Rocket Model 204 TN3270 Debugger.

Command syntax

{ROCKET | SIRIUS} [ ALL | COMPLETE | EXPWARN | MAINT | SNAPLMOD ]

or

SIRIUS DEBUG

The optional qualifiers are described below.

ALL

In addition to the products authorized for the site, the output list includes all products for which the site is not authorized.

COMPLETE

The information provided with the ALL qualifier is provided as well as a list of all pseudo-products for which the site is not authorized. Pseudo-products are not really products but control access to certain commands and facilities that are not made available to everyone. If the output from a ROCKET COMPLETE is intriguing, contact Rocket Software for more information.

DEBUG

SIRIUS DEBUG is an alias for the SIRIUSDEBUG and SIRDEBUG commands.

EXPWARN

Only products with impending expiration dates are displayed.

MAINT

The information of the unqualified ROCKET command is returned, except that no product authorization or expiration information is indicated, and patch space usage is presented in an abbreviated form. ROCKET MAINT, combined with the DISPLAY EW ALL command, provides what should be a definitive "footprint" of the versions of Model 204, Sirius Mods, and Fast/Unload in use, and of the maintenance applied to Model 204 and Sirius Mods.

Patch space usage (comparable to DISPLAY EW ALL)

The patch space usage is presented in one or more lines at the bottom of the display. For example, entering the following command:

SIRIUS MAINT

Might produce the following output:

Vsn/lvl: 7.8/09A6/0DE8-0E20/1008-101A/11AE-11C4

In the above display:

  • Vsn indicates the version of the Sirius Mods in use; in this case, 7.8.
  • lvl is a series of "SIRP$ ranges." For example, in the above:
    • Zaps using up to SIRP$ 09A6 are applied
    • Zaps using SIRP$ 0DE8-0E20 are applied
    • Zaps using SIRP$ 1008-101A are applied
    • Zaps using SIRP$ 11AE-11C4 are applied

SNAPLMOD

This form of the ROCKET command dumps to CCASNAP the contents of the Model 204 load module; it may be requested by Rocket Software to assist in maintenance. This form is restricted to System Managers.

Sample output

Specified without a qualifier, output from the SIRIUS command might look like this:

Sirius Mods version - 8.0 Model 204 version 7.1.0D Cpuid - XX02EABxxxxx Time 05/15/2012 17:58:15 Base UL Functions No expiration Fast/Reload LAI No expiration Fast/Unload Functions No expiration Janus Base No expiration Max connections 50 SirScan No expiration Janus Web Server No expiration Max connections 50 Janus Network Security No expiration Max connections 50 SirFile No expiration SirMon No expiration Sirius Functions No expiration Monitor Functions No expiration Janus Sockets No expiration Max connections 50 $SIR_LOGIN facility No expiration Janus SOAP No expiration Janus Debugger Expires 07/31/2012 Max connections 10 SirTune No expiration Used patch: 1C-0BAC Authorization zap produced 2012/05/14 20:53:48

When SIRIUS ALL is specified, the output looks like this:
