This saves a lot of time when configuring the grading system for the course. if a section must differ from other linked sections (say because a quiz is missed in only one section) a teach can unlink the section from the others so its layout can be managed separate. Unlinking is done via checkboxes in the Final Average layout page for any linked section. All existing layout and grade information is preserved when unlinking.</div>Alan
