The <var>NotJanusConnection</var> exception class indicates that the method call originated on a thread whose associated Janus port is not a Janus server type (<var>[[JANUS DEFINE#type|WEBSERV, TNSERV, SRVSOCK]]</var>).

A system method that throws this exception is <var>[[ClientCertificate (System function)|ClientCertificate]]</var>.

To produce a <var>NotJanusConnection</var> exception for yourself, you typically use a <var class="product">SOUL</var> <var>[[Exceptions#Throwing exceptions|Throw]]</var> statement calling the <var>NotJanusConnection</var> <var>[[New_(NotJanusConnection_constructor)|New]]</var> constructor:
