Parameters are variables that control or describe Model 204. They can be set to different values to tailor Model 204 operation to the requirements of an installation or user.

Each parameter is described on its own page; links to those pages are included in the table below (click on the parameter name).

For a description of Model 204 parameters and parameter types and how to use them, see the parameter overview.

One of the key bits of information about a parameter is, "when can it be assigned a new value", or reset, since this is often done using the RESET command. This information is provided for each parameter below.

The value of one or more individual parameters can be displayed with the VIEW command. VIEW also provides special forms which allow display of a class of parameters.

The table contains an entry for every Model 204 parameter. Some are associated with specific products and may be unavailable at sites not authorized for those products. Other parameters, while available, don't really do anything unless a site is authorized for specific products.

See the "Sirius parameters" footnote below, which describes the availability of parameters marked with (S).

Footnotes

Obsolete parameters

The (obs) symbol indicates parameters that were operative in earlier versions of Model 204 but are no longer operative. In order to support compatibility with earlier versions, an obsolete parameter:

  • Can still be referenced in a VIEW command, but its viewed value should be ignored.
  • Can be set or reset, but the value will not change, and a warning message is issued indicating this. Hence, an obsolete parameter is, in effect, viewable only.

Further information about the specific obsolescence for a parameter is contained on the parameter's description page, which is accessed from its link in the table above.

Sirius parameters

The (S) symbol is shown at the end of the description of each parameter that was provided in the Sirius Mods. These parameters are unavailable to you if both of these are true:

  • You are using a version of Model 204 prior to version 7.5.
  • You do not have the Sirius Mods included in your Model 204 load module.
