M204.1689  token in pattern 'token2' near character token3

In a User Language request or Host Language Interface function, a syntax error is found in the pattern pattern at character number char. errortype is one of the following:

  • BAD REPEAT FUNCTION
  • ILLEGAL SPECIAL CHARACTER
  • SYNTAX ERROR

In User Language, the request is terminated after compilation. Host Language Interface functions receive a return code of 4.
