The MaxDaemExceeded exception class indicates that the Daemon class New constructor was invoked, but the calling thread is at its limit of daemon threads.

The maximum number of daemons allowed per master thread is set by the MAXDAEM system parameter, whose default value is 1.

To produce a MaxDaemExceeded exception for yourself, you typically use a User Language Throw statement calling the an MaxDaemExceeded New constructor:

throw %(maxDaemExceeded):new

The only method of the MaxDaemExceeded exception class is the New constructor. The class has no properties.

This class is available as of Sirius Mods Version 7.5.

The MaxDaemExceeded methods

The following are the available MaxDaemExceeded class methods.

MethodDescription
NewCreate a new MaxDaemExceeded object

The methods in the class are described in the subsections that follow. In addition:

New constructor

Create a new MaxDaemExceeded object (MaxDaemExceeded class)

This callable constructor generates an instance of an MaxDaemExceeded exception. The New method format is as follows:

Syntax

%maxDaemExceeded = [%(MaxDaemExceeded):]New

Syntax terms

%maxDaemExceeded A reference to an instance of a MaxDaemExceeded object.
%(MaxDaemExceeded)The class name in parentheses denotes a Constructor. See "Usage notes", below, for more information about invoking a MaxDaemExceeded Constructor.

Usage notes

  • As described in "Using New or other Constructors", New can be invoked with no object, with an explicit class name, or with an object variable in the class, even if that object is Null:

    %maxdaem = new %maxdaem = %(MaxDaemExceeded):new %maxdaem = %maxdaem:new
