<p class="warn"><b>Note: </b>Many $functions have been deprecated in favor of Object Oriented methods. There is no OO equivalent for the $TermId function.</p>

The <var>$TermId</var> function accepts no arguments, and it returns either of these:
<ul>
<li>An 8-byte string containing the terminal id.
<li>A null string indicating that a terminal id is not available.
</ul>

==Syntax==
<p class="syntax">%term = $TermId
</p>

<p>
<var class="term">%term</var> is set to either a null or an 8-byte string.</p>

==Example==
The following program displays the user's terminal ID:
