VTYPE is a character string parameter. Valid settings of VTYPE are:

  • FIXED
  • FLOAT
  • STRING
  • UNDEFINED

Setting VTYPE to UNDEFINED forces explicit declaration of all %variables.

Setting VTYPE to UNDEFINED will also set VLEN to 0.
