Description
The number of procedure input lines to read before forcing a time slice check
INCSLICE is designed for use on a small machine, such as an IBM 4331, in which a user compiling a User Language request from a procedure can cause a noticeable slowdown in response time for other users. All procedure input, not just User Language requests, is affected by INCSLICE. Setting INCSLICE increases the scheduler CPU overhead for all users who use procedures, but it also helps to balance response time.
