Return minimum value
Note: Many $functions have been deprecated in favor of Object Oriented methods. There is currently no direct OO equivalent for the $Min function.
The $Min function returns the lowest value from a list of as many as eight arguments.
Syntax
%num = $Min(x1,x2,x3,x4,x5,x6,x7,x8)
Usage notes
- Omitted arguments to $Min are ignored.
Examples
$MIN(-6, 5, 0, 4, 3, 7, -7, 1) = -7 $MIN(4,-6,70.3) = -6 $MIN(-6, ,-5) = -6
Usage notes
- Any arguments containing non-numeric values are omitted from the comparison.
- If all the arguments are found to contain non-numeric values, then $Min returns the value 0.
