M204.1953 Type of 'open process' conflicts with type of process definition
This message can result from two different situations:
- SOUL request issues an Open Process statement for a process that is defined as inbound
- Model 204 receives a request from a remote partner to begin a conversation with a local process that is defined as outbound.
Response: A SOUL programmer will ordinarily receive this message only in the first situation. Contact your system manager.
System manager response: A process is inbound or outbound depending on whether its definition specifies FROM and SUBSYSTEM, or DESTINATION and PARTNER, respectively. A remote partner may open only an inbound process at the local site. A local SOUL request may open only outbound processes with remote partners. If this is a definition error rather than a user error, correct the DEFINE PROCESS command.
