M204.1243
M204.1243 Invalid delimiter following field name
An invalid delimiter such as) follows a field in the DEFINE command. Valid delimiters are:
- A comma, to indicate another field name follows. For example, in the command
DEFINE AGE, NAME
, bothAGE
andNAME
are fields with default attributes. - A left parenthesis ( ( ), to indicate that attributes are being assigned. An example is
DEFINE AGE (KEY, RANGE)
. A blank is not a delimiter, since Model 204 field names may contain blanks (for example,DEFINE CUST ID
defines one field, not two).
Response: Correct the command syntax, and retry.
