M204.1261 New field names not permitted
The file manager set the FOPT file parameter to prevent new field names from being defined. (The FOPT parameter includes the X'01' bit.)
Response: If you require a new field, see your file manager.
File manager response: If you cannot allow users the right to add fields, you might predefine fields for future use. Field level security may be helpful.
