M204.1676 Invalid 3270 SBA in input stream: x'hexValue'
After the user pressed the Enter key on the IBM 3270 terminal, the terminal transmitted data that is not valid according to the 3270 specifications. The last six characters of the error message are the invalid portion of the input stream in hexadecimal format. They are displayed with the preceding part of the input stream.
Any data entered by the user will remain on the screen, and the user will be prompted to press Enter again. Model 204 processes all data that the user enters.
System manager response: This error means that the terminal probably has a malfunction. If the terminal is functioning properly, and if the problem reoccurs, contact Technical Support. Please have the following information available:
- Audit trail from the run
- Listing of the procedure(s) in which the error occurred
- Record of the sequence of actions and responses performed by the user when the error occurred
- If supported by the terminal access method, a line trace covering the time of the error for the terminal experiencing the error
