Description
The minimum number of seconds between messages that indicate that a user was forced to wait because of the MAXAUSER limit. The default, 10, limits such messages to one every 10 seconds. The messages go to the operator console unless MSGCTL'ed not to do so.
This delays is also applied to MSIR.0019 or MSIR.0020 messages.
Because of the severity of these messages, some sites might MSGCTL MSIR.0019 and MSIR.0020 OPR. But if a site gets one of these messages, they're likely to get many and this flood of messages is, at best, an annoyance and, at worst, a contributing factor to whatever performance problem caused the backlog in the first place.
With such messages limited, a site can still determine the number of occurrences of such errors by looking at the SirMon SDMUNAV and TCPREF statistics.
