Length of a longstring
Most Sirius $functions have been deprecated in favor of Object Oriented methods. The OO equivalent for the $Lstr_Len function is the Length (String function).
This function takes a string or longstring input and produces a numeric output that is the length of the input string or longstring.
The $Lstr_Len function accepts one argument and returns a numeric result that is the length of the first argument.
The first argument is an arbitrary string or longstring
Syntax
%LEN = $Lstr_Len(longstring)
%LEN is the length of longstring
$Lstr_Len can be used wherever $LEN is used but $LEN will cause request cancellation for an input LONGSTRING of length greater than 255 bytes.
$Lstr_Len is only available in Sirius Mods Version 6.2 and later.
