Return minimum value
Most Sirius $functions have been deprecated in favor of Object Oriented methods. There is currently no direct OO equivalent for the $Min function.
The $Min function returns the lowest value from a list of as many as eight arguments.
Syntax
%num = $Min(x1,x2,x3,x4,x5,x6,x7,x8)
Usage notes
- Omitted arguments to $MIN are ignored.
- See the SIRFUNC EXEC parameter for an explanation of when this high-performance, high-precision version of the IBM mathematical function from the Sirius Mods is used, as opposed to the version of the $function in the Model 204 FUND or FUNDLE CSECT.
Examples
$MIN(-6, 5, 0, 4, 3, 7, -7, 1) = -7 $MIN(4,-6,70.3) = -6 $MIN(-6, ,-5) = -6
