For a UAI unload, the variable length records must be greater than or equal to 271 plus the length of any SORT fields, and less than 32756. You can increase the LRECL of the FUNOUT DD (or MAXREC, if specified on the UAI SORT statement) to a larger value. For the best SORT performance, MAXREC should be set to the approximate average length of a Table B record, plus the length of any SORT fields.
