M204.1132 Float field type unavailable without transform
You are attempting to define a floating point field for an early-version file which has not had Table B transformed to support floating point fields.
File manager response: Issue the TRANSFORM FLOAT command, which modifies Table B so that it is compatible with the floating point feature. Upon completion, the defining of floating point fields for the transformed file is allowed. The float transformation is irreversible; once the file has been transformed, it has to be recreated and reloaded in order to be used in 1984 Release 7.1 and earlier releases.
