M204.1997  IN FILE clause required

A Host Language Interface function has been called without specifying a file context by means of an IN clause.

Response: Add the IN clause to the Host Language Interface function's parameter list. The exact format of the IN clause is different from one function to another; see the individual function's description for information on how to code the IN clause.

Message attributes:

RETCODEO=0	Sets online return code
RETCODEB=4	Sets batch (single user) return code
CLASS=E	Error class; the message can be suppressed with the X'04' bit setting of the MSGCTL parameter
AUDITER	Writes the message with line type ER to the audit trail
COUNT	Increments the error count (ERCNT) parameter
