MSIR.0289 JANUS (subcmd) command does not apply to non-(type) port (portname)
(Redirected from MSIR.0289)
This message indicates that a JANUS rule was issued against a port that is the wrong type of port. subcmd indicates the JANUS rule command issued: WEB, CLSOCK, or SRVSOCK. type indicates the type of port that is required for the indicated subcmd.
One common cause of this is using a wildcard port name that matches the name of ports of various types. For example, issuing a JANUS WEB * ...
would cause the JANUS WEB command to be applied to any non-web-server ports. As long as the command is applied to the appropriate port or ports there is no harm done and this message should just be considered a nuisance; it is, however, a counting error message.
