This message indicates that a SIRFIELD RELATE command was issued with the ALTERNATES clause containing a format list item with a pair of formats (either explicitly or implicitly) '(fmt fmt2)' or '(fmt2 fmt)'. This conflicts with a pair of formats previously specified in either the same or a different SIRFIELD RELATE command for the same two fields of the form '(fmt fmt3)' or '(fmt3 fmt)', where 'fmt3' is not the same as 'fmt2'. The previous pair of formats could be the primary DATE formats of the fields, or a pair of formats specified in the ALTERNATES clause.

The command is rejected.
