The TNDEV parameter was set in the user0 parameters and then one or more IODEV cards were specified for the IODEV number indicated by the TNDEV parameter. Since sdaemon threads have their IODEV numbers dynamically changed to the TNDEV value when a telnet connection is made, no IODEV cards are required or allowed for the TNDEV value. If the IODEV cards were in the CCAIN stream before the TNDEV parameter was added to the stream, the number chosen for TNDEV was clearly a poor choice, as it was already in use for something else. The recommended value for TNDEV is 21.
