MSIR.0987  token variables only allowed in token2

This compilation error message indicates that you attempted to declare a %variable with the token attribute, but you did so in an invalid context. The required context is indicated by token2.

Response: Remove the token attribute, or change the context to be a token2.

CLASS=EError class; the message can be suppressed with the X'04' bit setting of the MSGCTL parameter
