Description

The number of terminals defined by the current group of user parameter lines

NOTERM or NOTHREAD (which are aliases of each other) must be set on the first user parameter line in a group. One terminal is defined by each user parameter line, and the value of the IODEV parameter must be the same on each parameter line.

The NOTERM and NOTHREAD parameters apply to the following device types:

IODEVAccess method/device type
7SNA Communications Server 3270 (z/OS and z/VM)
11Remote User Language thread (full screen)
19VTAM (Horizon for Connect:)
27VTAM (Horizon)
29Remote User Language thread (line-at-a-time)
37SNA Communications Server 3767 and NTO (z/OS)

Note: The IODEV=37 setting is no longer supported as of Model 204 version 7.6.

39IUCV User Language thread (line-at-a-time)
41IUCV User Language thread (full screen)
43IUCV Host Language Interface thread
