MSIR.1082
MSIR.1082 token: token2
This is the general-purpose request cancelling message for SOUL $functions, methods and statements. It is issued when such an operation detects an error at a point where it cannot simply return an error result — that is, outside of compilation and outside of expression evaluation — so the only available recovery is to cancel the request.
The first substituted value is the statement or function type in which the error was detected; it is blank if no statement type applies. The second is the specific description of what went wrong, supplied by the operation that detected the error. For example:
MSIR.1082: AddImage: Image name too long
Because the condition is not recoverable, the request is cancelled even if cancellation has been suppressed. If MSGCTL had been used to specify NOCAN for this message, message MSIR.0885 is issued to report that the NOCAN setting was ignored.
Response: Correct the error reported in the second part of the message text. The accompanying text identifies the specific problem; the statement type shows where in the request to look.
